After much deliberation.

Now then you gunners, after much deliberation I decided to buy my self a game bag to keep the piece with the long suffering Mrs. I decided on a Jack Pike bag, because it was cheap :D

And my first impression of it? Well, if it was there was anything more chinese about it then it would be serving behind the counter at our local chinky take away, the leather is that cheap compressed stuff that snaps after it gets wet, you know the stuff. The size is about right for my needs, and the pattern, I like oak leaves :D So all I needed to do now was field test it, so thats what I did this evening. It was the usual weather you seem to get when you want to go out for a wander, and that just happened to be pissing down. But undaunted, I ploughed on, and the good thing about all this rain is that there is still a bit of stubble to drive around, because the tractors cant plough it up.

So here I am driving the stubble looking to whack a couple of bag christening bunnies. And luckily for me, there was one who wanted to see the inside of my bag, WHACK! and in the boot it went, a good start. Three rabbits made for the long grass at the edge of the field, one stopped to admire my cherry red beam, WHACK! another bag dweller to keep the first company :D The rain was becoming a real pain, windows up, windows down, windows up, you get the picture. So I drove to the wooded side of the field to see if it was less windy, hence less rain blowing in through the landy window, but it was a bit to blustery, so plan B was to call it a night and piss off home before I got stuck, which is funny if it happens to someone else, but not so funny when it happens to you  Out of the corner of my eye I spotted two more rabbits hopping to the edge of the feild, lights off, beam on, WHACK! and a trio of bag dwellers were safely in the boot :D

And the rabbits admiring my new JP bag.

And did the bag save the blood and guts from ending up in the boot? Did it f**k :D

Old habbits die hard eh! And next time I'm out I will put whatever game I collect straight into the bag, the Mrs said

And the final pic is of the chritening :D
