hi all well i have been offerd a pup or 2 off a man i met at the highland shows he has 2 litters of pup the first liter is dad is a beddy gray and the mum is a pure whippet and the second is a whippet gray x blue meral gray but i dont know what i should get for genral mooching bushing ferreting lamping and day time work just an allrounder really my mum is going to see about a house this week so if we get it we could get kenals and get 1 of both maby but i am not going to buld my hopes up for 2.

In that case hold off for a right good litter, choose the right one as it will be with you for a number of years.

Don't rush into anything and you will be fine.

 

Anything with whippet/collie/greyhound/beddy will souit you, sorry I cant narrow it down any more.

i am starting next year and my mum sade she would look after it and i have been wating for couple of years for a good pup and the beddy cross workes all and the mum is for rabbitts and black tips and the colie x is an alrounder

Good luck with whichever you choose but it would be best to just get the one pup, not two at the same time. Give yourself and the pup a chance to learn and build a bond. Two pups at the one time can be a nightmare. Let us know what you choose.

yip only bit of advice id gee is better with 1 pup than 2 at same time

 

lots of dog men find it hard to bring on 2 pups at same time, 1 pup will get a much better start

So you would advise a complete begginer , a young kid at that to go and meet someone off here. No way. The wee man is mad keen, and I would go out my way to make sure he got the best start. I sent him a free lamp a while back after some COCK off here took his money and failed to send him what was promised.

So yes I will stand by statement and you should think before you open your trap.

 

I also have a dog doing the bizz in mind if that was what he was lookign for.

 

Yes there are decent folk, and yes there will be the odd good litter. But there are a lot of unscrupulous people willing to make a mug of a young lad.
