f**k all money mate unless you want to do it commercially. Used to run about 100, was good fun, but constant work and not much reward. Some money in rare breeds and specialty meats, but that comes with higher initial and maintenance cost.

not bothered about making loads of money tbh as long as i get some free meat and cover costs ill be happy enough!!! im going to market in a weeks time so see whats there then :thumbs:

you will need a holding number to buy at market

i never knew that but we have some pigs already on the land that my mate sorted out all properly through defra so would that cover this???

Wouldn't bother with wooly maggots mate.

There just like pheasants, always trying to kill themselves.

Pigs are the way forward, and more return for your hard efforts (food wise).

 

As for money, you wont make any on such a small scale, you will break even or better, but it will not be profitable.

 

Profit wise, that strip of land looks ideal for a lure coursing event, pleanty of loons out there that would pay you money to let their pot lickers chase a rag about a field :whistling: .

 

Just a joke, btw before anyone takes offence.
