what tofeed my little fellas ferrets

right lads had ferrets since i was a young lad just fed them on the same as the dogs with no problems. what should i feed them now as i havent had them for a long time. my miss is doing my nut in they need the proper stuff bla bla bla at the minute i'm just feeding them cat bisscuits and cat tinned meat. i know i sound a tight c**t but the ferret food in a brown bag is stupid money for how much you get

Rabbits mate, and anything else you get, pigeons, pheasants etc. Gut em and throw them in, sized to the number of ferrets. Good quality cat meat is ok, but the biscuits are pretty shit. Ummmmm chicken, fish, eggs. Mine pretty much live on rabbit with the odd pigeon for fat and an egg as a treat.

i feed mine rabbit and dry mate theres loads ov dry thats pretty cheep and with your whippet mate you wont be short ov rabbits lol

I feed mine rabbits all year round, if you buy a sack of dry it will cost you about a £1 per kilo, which is'nt that bad

dry in the summer, rabbit in the winter or feed the rabbit at night in the summer mate

I have to be honest but i find the amount of crap they produce when fed raw meat is minimal & the flies a lot less same with the dogs

 

when dogs & ferrets were fed dry the cages stank in the summer even with daily cleaning & the flys drove me mad

if you cant get bunnies go to asda you will get turkey legs there for 1.50 good fresh meat and the ferrets love it.

The ferret food is more expensive cos it contains more meat than most cat/dog foods.

 

Not having a go but why feed ferrets cat food. Would you feed your dog cat food?

 

I think alpha is the cheapest dry, feed em raw meat on a night and remove in morning.

Meat mate rabbits ,pigeons ect and that gives you a excuse to get out

mine get alpha ferret feast in the summer and meat on occasions.

winter ther get the same dry but less of it and rabbit.

but i have 1 hob who was a great worker till i got him snipped that will only eat dry food.

Feed at night fly traps each side of the huts and remove the remains in the morning if its hot when you put the ice bottles in the morning

roughly ten minutes work a day on top of the time spent with them each day
