hi buddy

ive got the bsa ultra 22 single shot, and you cant fault it,i have not shot the muti shot but i no they will be just as good if not better, for the pump i use a hills pump,135 pounds it cost me,the ultra have vrygood accurate and are very powerfull, was going to sell mine but now have decided to keep, nice rifle to carry not heavy at all, nice marking on the stock, but i will say the silencer they come with are not all that good, but davy63 is selling some decent ones on here,im going to be buying one very shortly from him, also its your own choice but ive just ordered a deben 6-9 bipod for mine just as a added extra, ive took quarry out from 30=yard with no problem one shot one kill.

so i would defo say get one,lso zini on here is going to be getting one soon and he no just about everything about rifles, and highly rates them,im sure he will tell you more when he has read your thread

anyways good luck with your choice

Hi Beddy,

I personally havent shot an Ultra multishot so cant really comment on the problems with the magazine not indexing correctly and so on.

Im going to be buying a Ultra multishot at Christmas myself so ill look into the magizine problem a bit more myself and see if its worth just getting the single shot instead or if there is a easy fix for the indexibng problem.

I have though had extensive use of my mate Reggaemans old BSA Ultra single shot in .177 calibre.

He had a Logan Decimetre fitted to his rifle as the BSA silencer (SAS I think its called) are not up to much.

The Decimetre made the Ultra really quiet indeed and when I first heard it shoot with it fitted I thought his rifle was broken as it was so quiet.

Fit a Twink Mark 2 silencer to the Ultra from A and M Custom Gunsmiths and I think the Ultra will be like a mouse fart.

Shooting wise the Ultra is as accurate as the best PCPs that Ive ever shot, including my BSA r10, Weihrauch HW100KT, FX Verminator and my old Air Arms S400 that Reggaeman now uses.

He sold his old Ultra for personal reasons and now regrets the day that he sold it and I know he is still on the look out for another one in .177 calibre.

I get the feeling that the Air Arms S400 will soon be getting sold and a BSA Ultra will be getting re purchased.

Ive seen Reggaeman put in endless 1 hole groups (the size of 1 pellet hole) at a 30 lased metres in my indoor wind free old range with his old Ultra and kill loads of vermin with ease on my old permission.

Shot wise he was getting 30 full power shots from his in .177 calibre rifle, which is plenty when out lamping or stalking vermin.

He used to count out 30 pellets and then place them into an old 35mm camera film case so he knew when it was empty he needed to re pump his rifle.

With a .22 I think you get around 40 full power shots with the Ultra.

Filling the Ultra is really easy too, and he always used a pump which only took about 1 min of pumping to reach the full pressure as long as you use a good stirrup pump.

As long as you have a pump or divers bottle you could take the Ultra all day and all night shooting no problems what so ever.

Without a filling device then you will have a problem if on a long shoot with lots of vermin to shoot.

I hope this help

Si
