Ogi73 0 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Share Posted September 25, 2010 get her running through small steams /shallow rivers that she can run through to retrieve, once she's happy with that get her swimming to retrieve, thats what i did with my last ESS, she was scared because she'd fallen in about 5 ft from an overhang when she was about 12 weeks, so lost her bottle, but this got her over it, problem then was keeping her out of water! Jack wouldnt go in at first but soon started following one of the dogs in and now he jumps in straight away. had her out with the spaniel and wont follow her ether, shes bean out at the pigeons and retrieved a good half doz and a mallard came in to to the field and she fetched it no prob, had here out with me stalking 2 week back and the buck i plugged she was right on it no prob so the game side is fine.
