your review on a new bsa r10 or s10

Hi Chris,

Blue printing is changing a rifle back to what it was supposed to be designed like as per the design plans (blue prints).

Sometimes a rifle is designed by someone but a company who makes them will use different items in the manufacture of the rifle to what the rifle blue prints state.

This is usually to save money on manufacture, but can in some cases slightly degrade the rifle.

Basically in the case of the r10 a very clever and well respected man called John Bowkett puts all the designs items and parts back into the rifle.

It’s supposed to improve the rifle and make it more reliable and smoother to shoot.

From what I’ve read on other forums a blue print job is well worth the money if your having problems with your r10 and I’ve never read anything bad about it or Johns work.

I myself haven’t had my r10 blue printed as my r10 as been a brilliant rifle from day one and as accurate as any PCP out there I’m sure.

It’s had its barrel shortened and a Twink mark 2 silencer fitted to it by Adrian Waugh of A and M Custom Gunsmith (he’s a rifle genius and I can’t recommend him enough) and the magazine and indexing bits reset to the rifle so it indexes like a dream.

I’ve also had a new seal fitted inside the rifle at the same time as they over time like any bit of rubber it start to perish and need replacing as it leeks.

The shortening of the barrel definitely doesn’t affect accuracy pal, well not in my rifles case anyway.

I’ve humanely shot vermin with that rifle at ranges that I would be embarrassed to post on here because of the ballistic lawyers that frequent the section from time to time, and I’ve shot endless clover leaf cluster 1 hole groups at ranges in excess of 40 metres with FX pellets.

I hope this helps a bit mate.

THANKS CHRIS
