Hi mate if you dont like the look of the rifle then I think that you would be better not to buy it.

A rifle needs to be part of you and be an extension of your body if you wish to shoot it at your full potential.

I use an r10 in .22 calibre and I love mine to bits.

I rate it as the best PCP that I have used to date, and Ive shot many PCPs in my time.

I even used to own a HW100KT and be on the dark side but sold it because it was nearly always sat in the gun slip and the r10 was used instead.

I suppose there like marmite mate, you either love them or hate them.

They have however got a bad reputation of breaking and having faults mate, so you either get a good like my r10 or a really bad one that drives you up the wall.

If you do get a good one, you are in for the shooting experience of your life

well after zini convinced me to get mine over a hw100 with his expert marksmanship :notworthy: I took the plunge mate and to be fair I got the r10 in 22 for a change as I allways prefer 177 any ways the first gun leaked air and had to be sent back wich was going to take a month I was told so I exchanged my 22 at the shop for the 177 they had in (I think it was a sighn from god lol) any ways after it filling ok the first 3 times this one started leaking exactly the same as the first from the quick fill port any ways I took the bottle off put a rag over were the bottle screwed in then connected the quick fill adapter and opened my divers bottle right up and blew it through when I moved the rag I was shocked :o to see it covered in swarf (iron fillings and grease) ever since it has been fine and I wouldnt trade it for the world it is consistent and deadly accurate the magazine in mine is a real bitch thoe it doesnt index the last 3 pellets wich I need to sort. if you do choose to get one I dont think you will go far wrong mate and if there are any probs john bowket blue prints them for around 100 I was told and then there meant to be awsome I am just debating weather or not to send mine to him but dont know if I could live that long with out her lol

Hi Moocher,

Maybe you could concider sending yours to Adrian Waugh at A and M Custom Gunsmiths.

He has customised my r10 now and shortened the barrel and fitted a Twink mark 2 silencer on mine.

He also reset the magizine and how it indexes, and now my r10 is even more devestating than it was before.

The man is highly recommended by quite a few regulars in this section.

nice one zini mate have you got a number you can pm me for the guy, the only reason I was going to use john was on the bsa r10 owners group I got a pm saying that john bowket designed the r10 for bsa and then they alter bits to keep the manufacturing costs down and the blue print is putting it back to how it was meant to be by the man himself now I dont know if this is right just what I was told.from the blue print your meant to gain better consistency, more shots per charge and better acuracy.how much does the lad charge that did yours because I was told john only charges £70 for the blue print but again this is only what I am led to belive so if any body knows different please feel free to put me right

Hi Moocher,

Yes Ive also heard that JB is the dogs nads when it comes to the r10.

A and M Custom Gunsmiths is run by Adrian and Mandy Waugh.

You can give Addie a call and chat to him mate, then you can decide what to do yourself mate.

Either way you wont go wrong with either bloke.

nice s10 that bud I like that a lot.I have spoken to john about the bluprint and it is £139 so its a fair bit of coin to shell out but that is recorded delivery return post and vat but I will ring the lad you guys have surgested and have the crack with him about it and how much he will charge me to give it a coat of looking at but to be truthfull it doesnt need it because it is spot on apart from the mag not working on the last 3 shots but I will get intouch with adi

hi lads, im thinking of getting an R10 too, i read bad things about them aswell like loosing air and different power veriations with each shot, so i went to my local gun shop and asked if they were true, and there was issues with the first batch they sent out, but i think they ironed out the problems now? the gun its self is amazing, beautiful piece of kit! im definatly getting one after shooting it on the gun range, ive been reading the above threads, what the hell is blue printing? is it tunning? or just shortning the barrel, if so does shortning have much affect on the accuracy?

thanks chris
