Hi, I got two questions i need some advice on.

2. How often do you feed your ferrets, daily or every two days.

Thx in advance

do you eat every two days :hmm:

even if feeding flesh, that would be pretty fly blown throughout summer :hmm:

I often miss a few days out per week during the summer, not in a row mind you. I find if I feed every day they get fat and start hiding stuff around the court. Also, if I only put just enough in, the ferrets lower in the pecking order start to loose weight. I find if I put more than enough in then miss a day, they all get a good feed and are none the worse for having a day off. This time a year they get fed every day because they are having to use more energy to keep warm.

That's just me though.

I often miss 1 day in the very warm weather especially if they haven't eaten a great deal of there meat when i remove it.. as long as they have plenty of water .. they bang on about ferrets having to have food 24/7 because of a short digestive tract .. well ordinarily mine get 1 meat meal at night ..winter & summer & the following morning anything that's left is removed

they don't have access to dry food during the day as there usually asleep

I fed mine twice a day when they were very small but now once per day last thing at night.Nothing but raw meat,(rabbit when I can catch some!),pigeon, chicken wings/carcasses,beef,breast of lamb etc.I do always check for stored food though because of flys ,plus when bits of bone dry out they become splintery and can cause a hazard
