my aa s410

Alright guy's just had my aa s410 chronoed and it is only kicking out 9flbs I have been told that a few guys have had this with new s410's so I have taken it to a local lad that does a bit of gun smithing as a hobby and does a lot of work on aa s410 more than any outher and he assures me it will be kicking 11.5 in a few days so will be more happy then the lad even machines his own new parts and has an exellent rep so I will keep you all updated on it

When i first got mine about 4yrs ago i had the same problem so i sent it back to Air Arms and they fixed it for free, it had a fualty valve or some kind of regulator,i got it back and it was putting around 10.5ftlb out so i had a play with it and got it doing around the 11.5ftlb mark its been spot on ever since.

what the hell has happened to quality control at aa I bought this second hand but I went with the lad to buy it new six month ago and he never used it thats why I bought it off him so it must of come from aa like this.

9ftlb sounds very low, are you sure the guy who Chronoed it, set the correct pellet weight beforhand?

at what BAR and with what pellets was it doing 9ftlb?

Assuming the rifle was at the correct charge.

 

1.77 8.4gr 695fps = 9.01ftlb should be up around 778 to give 11.5

 

.22 16gr 504 = 9.03ftlb should be around 558 to give 11.5

It was with acupel .22 at 150 bar.

and yes the lad who chronoed it for me knows how to set it he did my r10 as well and that was spot on so its well under.
