hunter1989 91 Posted September 13, 2010 Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 hi hunter well i decided to go to the cricket club last night for a little shoot, when i arrived there,they have dugg it all up which i thought i would see loads of rsbbits around as it was fresh mud, anyways after walking around for a few hours i shined my light and saw a set of eyes over where my shelter was,thought it may have been a rabbit.got my self phone and aimed 2 and a half mildots over pulled the trigger bammmm] it was down,when i walked over there it was a rat i shot straight though the eye at 41 yards, not much more to say really but here a few pics of me atb steve Quote Link to post

Good outcome this time, but what if it had been the neighbours cat? Bunny eye and cat eye look very similar in the lamp! Phantom 631 Posted September 13, 2010 Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 Very good point about ID'ing whats wrapped around the eyeball I've been as far as the second stage before (more than once) realizing it was a rather large eye (either that or it was much closer than I had thought) and it turned out to be one of the local moggies That little extra caution has saved a couple of moggies both domesticated and ferral. Its also saved me from injuring a fox, one winters night I would hate myself and most definately given up pest control if I had not checked and double checked before squeezing the trigger and hurting/killing something other than a pest.
