mick01 36
hello everyone.. i better introduce myself as i dont post to often. im mick, im not the most fanatical of hunters i just enjoy the sport and get out when i can, probably like most of you. i got some new permission a few weeks back and decided to get a new gun. i had an s410 classic in the past and this time bought a carbine from an advert on here. it was in good nick and not bad price so couldnt help maself. anyway i got up to my new permission for a look around and grinning from ear to ear i zeroed my new best mate and had good plinking session. next morning though i played footy and twisted my knee causin some nasty damage!! i spent the next week or so on crutches staring at my new toy which was burning a whole in its slip. finally got out for a quick shine with my mate and his lurcher the other night and got my first bunny's with it, first rabbit was taken by the lurcher as it was about 50 yards into the middle of the field. walked on a bit and flicked the lamp on and there was a rabbit at the top of a rise about 30 yards so bang on zero. it was in some longish grass and quite hard to get a head shot. i took about five or six steps towards it and it popped up nice and clear, i took aim, steadied and squeezed. couple of kicks but stone dead. i was buzzing!! been bitten by the bug big time.. i walked on and took another rabbit, and missed 1 at about 20 yards anyways i have tried to attach a pic here but im not sure if it will work. thanks for reading and ATB Mick.. forgot to add, the bottom 1 was taken by the lurcher.. but i didnt want to let that get in the way of a good pic Edited September 12, 2010 by mick01 1 Quote Link to post
