lurcherman 28
maybe not 1/2 x but 1/4 x bull whippets are handy little dogs mines 22 1/4 tts and 9/10 times it better most 1/2 x and 1/4 x bull greys in the smaller fields or if your quarry close to cover due to the shear speed from the off. by time most bull x grey are into there stride my bitch as already put a bend in em as i said before there an handy cross if needed. its all about personal opinion and what is needed from the dog. bigger land i run the bull/grey:thumbs: Quote Link to post

lurcher lass 9
i like whippet crosses but a bull whippet isn't a cross i'd choose but its each to their own.. perhaps a whippet/grey x bull grey at the very least but a bull whippet isn't going to any better then a 1/4 bull greyhound if you dont want a half cross, but thats just my opinion, as long as your happy with your own dog who cares Quote Link to post
poacher13 3
my bull whippet bull greyhound bitch best of both Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
It's also a little bit more subtle and like has been said a 1/4 has really good initial take off speed, gets the job done quickly and is ideal for small land, working with heavy cover or running in forestry. There is also the factor that it is far easier to find a really good working whippet than a really good working grey. Quote Link to post
