guyliath 15
I went to the Kent FMWTC meet last night ( my first). I had a great time, really sound lads, and learnt a lot. Well pleased with my experience, so I joined up. Definitely worth a tenner for me, as I am a novice to working terriers, so the experiences of the members is worth it's weight in gold to me. Just my 2pennies. All the best, G Good stuff,id suggest all newcomers to the sport certainly join but i must state, the FMWTC is NOT a digging or ratting club,if anything it is a rescue club for trapped/lost terriers in the ground etc Agreed. sorry if i misled anyone. Thanks mate and i agree £10 is nothing,2 pints of beer here BUT could result in rescuing a terrier stuck anywhere i have some members that have pet terriers,JUST incase they run a rabbit to ground. As said, worth every penny in my mind. Quote Link to post

antsa 40
fmwtc best thing since sliced bread, wish we had same thing over here. Quote Link to post
events co-ordinator 353
fmwtc best thing since sliced bread, wish we had same thing over here. We didnt have it here until a group of terriermen got together and set it up it would be a lot easier nowadays due to the internet contact either the F&MWTC website or NWTF website and you will get the info you need. Remember it all started with a group of terriermen after a rescue and everyone who works terriers in Britain now owes them a massive debt. I hope you do set it up because the more organised we are the stronger we become YIS Quote Link to post
wirral countryman 2,110
I would advise everyone that owns a terrier to be a member of this,I've been on some mega rescue's over a few day's and ended up with a jcb there, all holes look the same from the outside and you never know where they end up,they've alway's done a sterling job and should be commended for all their hard work, they never give up on a rescue, top job, well done ,atb, wirralman Quote Link to post
gonetoearth 5,144
like any club its only as good as its membership . its dont matter who you are or what you are if you have a trapped terrier the CLUB will respond, it has all ways had it critics it has good and bad members like any club but at the end of the day its , for one thing RESCUE TRAPPED TERRIERS £10 YEP YOU CAN RING MATES YEP YOU CAN HIRE A JCB , , BUT THE NEXT TIME YOUR MATES MIGHT NOT BE THERE , THE FMWTC HAS A NATION WIDE MEMBERSHIP WITH THE FUNDS TO REACT , BUT THERE IS A BUT THERE ARE GUIDELINES TO RECUES , PERMISSION OF THE LANDOWNER ETC A POINT WORTH REMEMBERING , 1 Quote Link to post

Guest busterdog
I'm not knocking the idea FFS, but i've only used a digger once in twenty odd years it cost me fifty quid and i gladly paid it myself. The only time i phoned the FMWTC the rep came out and had his picture taken in the dig (which was down about forty foot) and pissed of saying he couldn't here the dog baying, the dog had been to ground for three days and could be heard to bay every now and again, the box and collar had packed up and all i ever found was the arse end of a very eaten fox. If thats the FMWTC then i'll keep my tenner FFS. I would personaly drive the other end of the country to help anyone who's stuck and have offered to do so many times, don't need a badge or a lable to do so FFS. AS I'VE SAID BEFORE GOOD IDEA BUT MOSTLY WANKERS. Quote Link to post
