I've always worked, apart from maternity leave, and even then i was still driving a tipper until i was seven months gone. But i'm damn sure i could find more entertaining ways to keep meself occupied than work every day.

Guest Buttermilk
To be honest, one million pounds isn't a massive amount to live on for the rest of your life...I think you'd need to be a multi millionnaire in order to give up work and live comfortably. Hmmmm.....so that would be at a 5% base rate....which would mean you'd 'pay' yourself a salary of around £50,000 (tax free) pa. Very nice, but you wouldn't be 'uber' rich...and if you stopped working, wouldn't have any salary coming in.

Oh, it's okay, don't be disconcerted....I can live off £50,000 pa..... never said otherwise. I'm just not sure many people would consider a family earning that amount to be 'rich dudes' particularly, but I may be wrong.... And it's not really a case of 'either / or' is it now...? Surely one can (in your words) "catch more game, be happy AND have a big fcuk off Ferrari" ?? Afterall...you have your big shed. P.S.I have an elderly, rather mud-splattered Volvo estate incase you're wondering....not very 'rich dude-ish'....but incredibly practical for dogs, riding gear et alia....
