Most buchers wont sell offcuts here, not since the BSE scare, not even raw bones for your dog :D

 

oh my butcher aint bad for the raw bones like; he dont even charge.mind you the prices he charges for his butcher meat he would have a f*****g cheek; got to say he is a good butcher

I agree, butchers prices are a pisstake, I watched an old boy buying a couple of slices of ham and a bit of beef pate, £5, I looked at the guy selling it, and he never batted an eyelid, the robber.

I agree, butchers prices are a pisstake, I watched an old boy buying a couple of slices of ham and a bit of beef pate, £5, I looked at the guy selling it, and he never batted an eyelid, the robber.

 

very true stealthy.i often see old folks in the butchers getting there wee bit breakfast stuff and a cut of meat and you just know some of the poor buggers by the way they say "have you got a smaller cut" that there thinking of the cost.

Thats my point exactly, I heard on old dear tell the butcher to put a slice of ham back, and when all's said and done, its only for a sandwich, I nearly offered to pay the extra myself to save her the embaressment.

in the deli down our way £3.50 for 2 slicey ov ham off the bone to a old dear about 70 she only just could pay for it ,may be more peopol should eat rabbit, :thumbs:

i was in a local butchers and he is a good working butcher but i agree the prices are unbelievable when an old dear came in she wanted a pie for her dinner and she asked which was his cheapest to which he told her and she was there counting her money to see if sje had enough so i said wouldnt you like one of the other pies she replied yes but i carnt afford it so i told the butcher to give her two and put it on my bill and he gave me a right dirty look cheek he was still getting his money and at least the old dear had a hot meal that day

Today the butcher tryed chargeing a fiver for a bag of meat off cuts for ferret food which he was going to throw away! what a tight tosser.

 

Tom if you had got your arse into gear you could have got your self a bunny for nowt :laugh:
