I actually never thought you had meant to offend at all Mrs A.R.D....I think some people just misinterpreted what you'd said. It's difficult to come across properly via this medium....there's no nuanc

My lurcher is 110% on recall . . until he's chasing . . nature of the beast i'm afraid, and i wouldn't want him any other way.

Accidents happen all the time, no one is perfect and on one can predict when these things will happen. I hope the dog recovers well and gives you years of working enjoyment.

If you can call a dog off quarry in full flight you must be good or your dog is a jacker.

Hope your dog is fine. I don't get when cat owners allow their animals out and about and then are surprised when something happens to them. :icon_eek:

my dogs aint no jackers and i dont claim to be better than anyone elce! and yes i can call my dogs 2 x lurchers off cats otherwise id be fkd when i go on alot of the farms i go on.

i put alot of time and effort into my dogs to make sure they are 100% capable of doing what i want, when i tell them. whats wrong with that?

iv spoken to B-H and explained to him that i wasnt takeing the piss sometimes i just come across the wrong way and he is fine with that! i guenuinly wanted to know who includes cats when stock breaking??

sorry for messing up the topic for you B-H and im glad your dog is on the mend.

just a quick update took him back to the vets today and hes doing well if anything a bit to well i have had to stop one lot of his pain killers as he is getting a bit cocky on his bad leg.the theory behind it is so he dont feel to comfy on the leg i think it is the cross itself as they have a strong pain thresh hold i dont let him off the lead and he only goes on the garden its a case of holding him back and not to let him be stupid thanks for everyone support and i will keep you posted hes got to have stitches out next monday atb biza

It's difficult isn't it?

Our young Whippet, Tilly, broke her leg very badly years ago...it was a nightmare trying to stop her from bouncing about all over the place while the leg healed. But once it did heal, she was back to normal again and it never affected her..
