Simoman 110
The fella put a thread up for some information and reassurance, not some smug shit about stockbreaking and my recalls better than yours FFS, some people.............. Quote Link to post
Richie10 345
If you can call a dog off quarry in full flight you must be good or your dog is a jacker. Hope your dog is fine. I don't get when cat owners allow their animals out and about and then are surprised when something happens to them. Quote Link to post
Hannah4181 260
My lurcher is 110% on recall . . until he's chasing . . nature of the beast i'm afraid, and i wouldn't want him any other way. Accidents happen all the time, no one is perfect and on one can predict when these things will happen. I hope the dog recovers well and gives you years of working enjoyment. Quote Link to post

autopsy42 1
A dog we had when i was younger did a similar thing, made a full recovery with time, but it was my dad that took a while longer to get over it with the hefty vets bill! Quote Link to post

Jon I actually never thought you had meant to offend at all Mrs A.R.D....I think some people just misinterpreted what you'd said. It's difficult to come across properly via this medium....there's no nuance or expression as there is in general conversation...it's all very flat. 1 Quote Link to post

biza hollis 27
just a quick update took him back to the vets today and hes doing well if anything a bit to well i have had to stop one lot of his pain killers as he is getting a bit cocky on his bad leg.the theory behind it is so he dont feel to comfy on the leg i think it is the cross itself as they have a strong pain thresh hold i dont let him off the lead and he only goes on the garden its a case of holding him back and not to let him be stupid thanks for everyone support and i will keep you posted hes got to have stitches out next monday atb biza Quote Link to post
Guest Buttermilk
It's difficult isn't it? Our young Whippet, Tilly, broke her leg very badly years ago...it was a nightmare trying to stop her from bouncing about all over the place while the leg healed. But once it did heal, she was back to normal again and it never affected her..
