Guest oldskool
no doubt somebody is goin to call me a stupid c**t lol... but here is the story>> after the bitch was caught by the grey the bitch had rattled the kennel door open next day. she was out for a good while and runnin around with one of the jack russells... he was a bit young and i dont think she was still standin at that time... she has now got 8 pups and there is 4 white pups in the litter.... the rest are black like the grey... they are 6 weeks old yesterday... the question i want the answer to is, can i take a white pup and bring it to the vet along with the greyhound and see if the grey is the white pups dad????? i'm pretty certain he is the dad because his grandad is exactly the same markings as the white pups and i think he also had a litter sister with the same markings... i will put a pic of the pups up here tomorrow and let you all have a look... im about 98% certain its the greyhounds pups but i just have a naggin thing in my head that wont give me peace... i wonder if a vet can give me the answer with a test or somethin???? Guest oldskool
yea, im nearly dead certain.... its just that 'what if' factor that bugs me because i was hopin to get them good working homes and keep one myself.... my girlfriend has a whippet/grey x gsd/grey that was caught with a yellow lab... the pups looked like lurchers then when they were older they got more like black labs ... Guest oldskool
Why have you docked the white pupM8 ? :11: she was wagging her tail.. the camera phone blurs everything when there is the slightest movement... i think the wee jack russell is too long in the body and short in the leg to be of any resemblance to the white pups???? macker 5
have a young dog black and white as where the hole litter. neither parents or grand parent had the same colour as pups . no other dogs in the lads yard that bred them but with bull and also grey hound can be hard to tell what colour pops up when breeding. might be that you are worring too much. hope it works its self out. macker Quote Link to post
HBG 350
you can get a dna test done when the pups are 4 weeks old or when fully weaned off the mother,(which ever is sooner),take a pup(it will only proove the sire of thee pup you take) and dam and one of the suspected sire's.they might have to order the testing kit in for ya.
