Kye 77
Hi Guys,.. So, in the near future, hopefully i will be able to have enough dollars floating around that i can splurge out on a nice FAC rifle...im not wanting a springer, maybe summat more the style of a Rapid 7?...would prefer a synthetic stock, and it would HAVE to be left handed, and have a silencer....also prefer a multi shot capability. Not to fussed on calibre...but it will mostly be used on squirrels, rabbits, crows, doves...BUT...there is always the possiblity that i will have to shoot larger game, skunks, wild cats, coyotes, raccoons etc. Most game will be taken out at around 50-70 yards, although alot of shooting on rabbits and squirrels at around the 40 yard mark....always be nice to use it on the praire dogs and ground squirrels when i go back west, and the shots on them are around 60-90 yards... I will want to put a nice scope on it and everything, and it would be nice to be able to fill it up with a stirup-pump of some sort, or small divers bottle...a friend has a very nice air-rifle, but i dont like that you have to carry a big pump around with you, and you only get 30 odd shots with each charge... I used to be REALY into my air-rifles, and do alot of work with them, but its been YEARS since ive been on the scene!...when i first moved to the states, i went bullet gun crazy, and was shooting .45 pistols, and 300 win-mags for ages...lol...but now i miss the stealthy-ninja-ish approach to air-rifle work...any advice, and pics would be great...thanks lads. Millet 4,497
Ok there kye hope your doing good on the other side of the pond, for smaller stuff ie coons and down over a rapid 7 should be spot on i like the carrer 707 persoanaly as they can go to around 90ftlb but you wont get a lot of shots from a fill. more from a rapid which can go up to sround 60/70ftlb (not sure on that now). For anything bigger than a coon you will be looking at something bigger with more humf especialy at them distances you state, something like a .22 mugnum or a 22.250 should do the job cleaner than a air weapon. R0G3R 11
You can also try the Airvolution Beast. Its a .20 cal PCP that spits out 23gr pellets at 1227fps. Shot count suffers though. But with a chrony you can bring it down to 1200fps with JSB 13.7gr pellets. That gives you around 35 shots on a fill. Roger! Quote Link to post
