As for it being your personal opinion, why were you so concerned about my hunting credentials when I questioned it? Anyhow, that offer of proving you wrong still stands whenever you like to take it up...... I'll not hold my breath cos your wee pal colon back tracked quick enough when he threw out the last challenge............

Interesting topic..... I remember one day we were in scotland with the saluki greys and the bag was 8 browns and 11 white (if i can remember correctly). So it can be done single handed. I think its a bit of a broad statement to say that no saluki/greys cannot catch on the rugged land. I have seen it with my own eyes, as well as photographed it too....

come on boy's it's just a question i was asking ive had first cross saluki greyhounds up here and they just don't do,im not saying there not good dog's but as said before the work well down on the fen's but up here there injury prone especially there toe's getting stub's and broken,whippet greyhounds or 3|4 greyhound collies are about the best i have witnessed up here cheers..

Have you run grey/saluki x grey/collie up their? I found dogs that mostly came a cropper or sufferd with their feet on the moorland we used to run on were lurchers with an high percentage of greyhound in them ie 3 quarter breds.

TOTALY AGREE PAL,IVE GOT A 3/4 GREY 1/4 WHIPPET AND SHE WAS LAME EVERTIME I RAN HER.SHES 7 NOW AND HAS DAMAGED TOES ON BOTH FRONT FEET AND TWO MIDDLE TOES TAKEN OFF HER LEFT BACK FOOT,JUST TOO MUCH POWER IN THE DOG.ID NEVER BUY ANOTHER

Cant be bothered reading through the drivel but does anyone have decent hare dogs up here Ive heard plenty of talk about lads dogs can do this and that infact I had a craic with a lad who is suppossed to be a top dog man up here a few years ago that was inquireing about a pup from me he said his dog was on a hare when it snapped its back leg but still stuck with the hare and got the kill ...the conversation ended quickly and he never got his pup....

i would also gladly take anyone with a fen dog out up hear ftb to see there so called hare dog's run,as they also could take my dog out on the fen's and it wouldn't do the job this is turned into a slagging match when it was just a question on what breed is more suited atb...
