welshphil 185
Help!! My 12 week old lurcher pup has started to use her bedding as a toilet even though she has permanent access to an outdoor run. I'm using blankets and duvets as her bedding so its not practical to change it every day. Has anyone else experienced this before and how did they cure it?? Thanks in advance for any replies... Guest silent d
when i first got my pup i was adivsed that she had to much space in her cage so if it was smaller she wouldnt pee were she sleeped so i used a box to shorten it for a while and that solved it Edited December 12, 2006 by silent d

Guest Ditch_Shitter
Help!! My 12 week old lurcher pup has started ..... Just one other observation here: I expect my own, indoor Dogs to get their act together at twelve weeks. That's when I usually tend to find they stop sh!tting and pissing just where they please and start to gain some physical control over their bodies. Interesting that yours has started messing around at this age. Inverse conditioning? I wonder what's brought this about? Anyway, yeppers: It's certainly well 'known' that cramping them into a small area ~ for now ~ tends to also inhabit their propencity to crap under their own feet. Contrary to some peoples perceptions; Dogs find their own crap as unsavoury as we do - Usually!

JollyPoacher 3
Puppies have a natural instinct to do their business on the most absorbent thing possible - in your case the bedding. Try removing the bedding, covering the whole puppy pen in newspaper to start with. As they mature they will have a favourite corner, once identified you can start to only paper that corner. bigdazz 0
ok you can try a false roof over the bed area that you can lower and raise just adjust the roof until you get it to a height that she cant sit up to squat for a piss try this for a few week then remove the roof should be problem solved
