Fox not on the stubble

Recommended Posts

Called in this Vixen from 5 fields away (it was hard work) getting her to come in, but i managed in the end :whistling:

this was shot with a Tikka 223 with a S&B 1.5-6x42 on top, shot at a ranged distance of 185 yards on the top of the head.

This was one of the better shots i have witnessed as my mate who was shooting stated that he had placed the shot on the head, and when we retrieved the fox, thats where he had hit it

good shooting! do you always get results with the caller? or do you ever have to resort to the old mouth/hand chestnut? if so 5 fields = tongue like ghandis flip flop!

Calling in Foxes using your own voice/squeek is very easy from 5 fields away, not because i am good at it, the very opposite, the fox is very good at hearing, as most nocturnal animals are.

cheers jimmy
