hi wondering if anybody had contact details for any shoots around cardiff as id like to get into gamekeeping so i thought id start of by beating and general helping out when needed in order to gain experience.

Been beating for about 5/6 years now, great fun! Your best bet Is to just ask around any local Farms/Shoots as they'll always be glad of another beater. You might even get payed If your lucky..

£35 is a good wage mate. Round here you do it to get a good name for yourself with the keeper and farmers. If your lucky a tenner and some grub. Thats how it was when i started a few years ago and thats all my beaters get now lol.

A tenner . You must have local people then cause really it wouldn't be worth the petrol. I was getting that 20 years ago and i was 10.....

Yep its all local people who are keen for a good walk really. and my little brother and usually some of his mates. Gota have some little kids to send through the really thick brambles
