I can vouch for SACS as well mate, know the boys there personally and they are a good bunch.

Several members have ran into trouble (unfounded) and SACS have come good and got the situation sorted out.

Cheaper thans BASC and better insurance too!

Ahw come on guys, cheaper doesnt mean better, we all need good support for country sports and joining BASC/SACS is money well spent, Countryside alliance are basically losing members left right and centre, so are trying to get new members by cheap member rates, this is not the way to go! Lots of other companies now setting up who just want a piece of the cake, they do not have or ever will have the clout to defend your sport.

Look past the membership costs and a little more at what they spend the money on for the benefit of keeping shooting alive and untampered from the many anti-gun/anti hunting groups and other factions within the government.

BASC/SACS do sterling work and shooting would be in a damn site worse position without them.

Just my personal opinion.

Just my tuppence worth, The country persuits person wether you work your dogs, provide ferreting or shooting or trapping, wants the best all round Insurance, this does not mean the dearest is the best, and certainly the small print in most of these policys needs to be clearly defined,as what cover you have.

BASC, SACS,NGO, C.A or whoever you choose to go with, all have a business to run, offering you a service of insurance, is just an incentive to join them.

I know BASC and some of the other organisations, do a sterling job,to provide us with a voice, whenever the government decide to stop or place a rertriction to our sporting rights,so credit were it is due to them for giving us that support, but what I do object to is the differnce in price for such Insurance it varies so much.

What exactly are you paying for,is it Insurance or support of the cause,BASC seems to be the "IN VOGUE" DESIGNER BRAND. the must have sticker, for your window, is this why most adverise their support via their 4x4.

As long as you are insured and covered for your sport, get the best deal, just like you would for car Insurance shop around and read the small print.

A long time ago I was a member of WAGBI but that was in the early days, now its known by its DESIGNER brand BASC

i was covered with county cover last year but it was just that, cover. this year i went with SACS as i liked the idea of being insured for other thing and not just shooting, my dog is cover is he causes damage while out working. i also have back up if i need a good person to fight in my corner when the FLO will not let me have 400 acres cleared for a 222.

i will stick with SACS for now as im very happy with what they have done for me.
