colint5 47
im a mixer driver and going by your measurements you will need 5.5 cubic metres for that size. when you order a 6 cube mixer you normally pay for the empty space inside (ie if you order 4 cube you pay for that plus you pay a lesser charge for the 2cube empty space. if that makes sense to you ). so if you want to be safe a 6 cuber will do, and thats it going in at 4 inches deep, ample. as for a price, well that depends on the strength you want the mix, then theres fibres to add if you want, . but make sure the ground is well prepared and youve got good shuttering. if you need any more advice just ask or pm me

genuine 81
Sick of looking at the stuff lately, recently done a subby floor in a house only 4inches for a sub floor the room was 11.3 meters by 4.8 width it took a full wagon 6 cubes which was £465 + Vat £585 this is also with fibres in it stops it from cracking while its setting, put shome sheets down to stop it drying to fast and cracking also! Work off that metreage to get a rough idea of what price and how much you need and good luck! Try Hanson there based in Acomb Northumberland! Thats a good price aswel! Ifter doing some maths i think your best getting 10 cubic metre's better have a little more than a little less probs be around £890 including VAT thats at 4iches depth! Ample for stable! Not being funny Genuine but your sub floor is a bigger area, so your calculations are way out. Around 3ft to a metre right, 39ft is around 15 metres be safe on that,by 14ft around 5 metres! My floor wasn't bigger! Anyway pm wagon driver , he will know the pro's and con's of there trade and your prices! It took four of us an hour and half to take 6 cubes to do the floor and that was 11 metres by the 4.8 and we had about 4 barrows spare at the end!

Your sub floor was 11.3m x 4.8m which gives you an area of 54.24 m2 Valentinos floor is 39ft x 13ft which converts to 11.8m x 3.9m which gives you an area of 46.02 m2.The figures speak for themselves. Guest alastair
if floor area is 11.3mx4.8m and the concrete is 100mm or 4 inch thick you will need 5.4 cubic metres of ready mixed.if your base exactly 100mm thick which it wont be.. id order 6cubic metres a loory load if the old style drum mixers are used. calc example 5mx 16m at 100mm thick.5x16x.100=8cubic metres Edited September 9, 2010 by alastair
