Lab 10,979
Watched Haye and Harrison on Ringside last night talking bollocks..........dont even know if i will waste my money on box office. Haye was explaining about why he hasn't fought Klitschko yet, he said they had shook hands but they changed the goal posts about re-matches. Looking forward to that 1 though... Malt 379
Don't know why Haye took this fight TBH. There's only two real tests for him out there at the minute and if he really wanted to back up his claim to be the worlds best, he should look no further than the Klitchko's... I don't care what he says about them moving the goalposts, the fight should be all that matters... I'd like to see 'Fraudley' cut loose though, I think if he could gain some confidence and let rip with some of the aggression he's shown glimpses of, it'd be a decent fight. I reckon he'll be ultra cautious though, and Haye will take the fight to him and possibly knock him out early. Edited September 10, 2010 by maltenby

gnasher16 30,454
Lads you gotta be realistic about the way the game works ( and always has done )....the best dont fight the best straight away its nothing new,i dont blame Haye for taking a few easy fights its what every champion does.Boxings a short career, for those fortunate enough to become a champion they gotta get in and make as much money in as short time as possible. Personally i dont like the way they hype fights up these days but its the nature of the buiseness....as poor a fighter as i think Harrison is i believe with his size and style it only takes 1 punch at heavyweight to turn everything round and with Haye not having a great chin and being the smaller man who knows,on pure boxing ability its Haye all day long. Id like to see Haye steer clear of the Klitchkos for a while, maybe do what the other 2 british favourites did and wait till the big names in their divisions are washed up and then fight them Edited September 10, 2010 by gnasher16

mexlad 189
A disgraceful match up IMO. Harrison has done nothing to deserve a title shot, it's just a joke. I like Haye but he should be embarrassed taking this fight. Both Klitschko's were ready to make a date with Haye, and then he comes up with this Absolutely f*cking diabolical!!!!!! There is only the Klitschko's left for him and after all his talk of how he'd wreck the pair of them, he comes up with this garbage!!! I'm disappointed to say the least. haye was saying something about the klitschkos demands,he was saying he is the champ so why should i agree to their demands like every other mug does. Haye isn't THE champ, he's a title holder, he's got the WBA belt. Vladimir Klitschko has got the IBF and the WBO belts, Vitali Klitschko has got the WBC belt, and he needs to fight them and take their titles to be THE Champ, even if that means he has to take a cut in pay to do it, If he wants to be the best then that's what he's got to do. Knocking Audley about for a few rounds will not gain him any recognition as a champion what so ever. This fight is a farce mate. im not sticking up for him mate just saying what i heard him say on the interview,we all know its the wrong fight.

He fought who he could at the time and beat everyone he fought. It was the big American names ducking him why he didn't get his chance to beat them earlier in his career (or even at all against Bowe). I understand it's a business, but with all of Hayes talk, getting into Vlad's face shouting and screaming he wants Vlad and so on and so forth, He deserves every bit of criticism he gets for choosing to fight Audley Harrison rather than Klitschko IMO. Besides that though, even if he did choose not to fight Harrison, there's many more experienced and more deserving fighters about that deserve the chance than Audley. Audley is just a real bad choice IMO.

The 2 i was referring to are Calzaghe and little wicky....Lennox Lewis was like a breath of fresh air and without doubt the best ever British heavyweight,if you accept him as being British. As for Hayes talk, its nothing new its called " hype "......of which every world champion does.....dont you remember how Lennox hyped the Bowe fight talking about their controversy in the olympics.....that all went out the window when Bowe was no longer a possible opponent. If theres not a genuine story and rivalry then one is often made ! Just out of interest who would you have him fight.. realistically ?....he,s wba champion so naturally he,s only going to fight a wba rated fighter of which Harrison is rated about 12th i think.....Kali Meehan ?....Dennis Bakhtov ?.....not exactly household names are they and both rated above Harrison.....he,ll get pennies for fighting either of them or a number with a lot of 0,s on the end for fighting Harrison...what would you do ? Its easy to forget boxing is a buiseness but when you look at is as such it makes a whole lot more sense.Theres more than just Haye who wants to make money remember,do you think the managers/promoters want to make a fight now for 2 million or later for 10 million ? YOKEL 2,288
i predicted this fight would happen just before harrison got his crack at the eu title. with all the fannying around with the klitchco's you could see it was'nt going to happen...yet. RE: harrison, he should think himself lucky to be getting a shot at this, the man has done nothing to deserve it, he's got thru his last few fights on a wing and a prayer. i was at the excel last year when he won the prizefighter tournement and he was abysmal. i have never seen a man who makes a living out of fighting so afraid of being hit! and the wee irish fella he beat in the final was all over him like a rash in the first round,a man who had been out the ring for 2yrs and only 8 bouts under his belt!he just ran out of steam in the 2nd, pretty much beat himself. By rights, haye should have this easy, he has the speed, ability and power to make harrison look foolish...but if harrison gets lucky and connects one of his big ol' shots on haye...jeesus i wont be a happy man...
