lurcher pup

morn lads,,a quick question,,if the lads see this that bought a pup of fat lad can you tell me if your pups got a weak bladder or is it just mine,,it pisses every were,,i dont think it knows its doing it half the time,,im building it a kennel and run but not till it gets a bit older as it will scream all night and i will get reported,,the kitchen stinks were i keep it,,we must of gone threw 3 bottles of detal in 2 weeks,,, :no::no::no: its acting like its terrified,,we only have to stroke it and it pisses every were,,every time,,we havent even raised our voice to it so it carnt be nervous shorley,,the gas man as just been to read the meter ..in the kitchen,,i picked the pup up and its piss shot across the kitchen like a hose pipe,,never seen oat like it in my life,,if it carries on its gone,,if the landlord comes round and see,s it doing that were out,,any ideas please lads....never had one do thgis before... :(:(:(:( thanks...mark...

no mate my pup ent like that but i was abit worried about his breathing but its ok now the vet said it was just stress

i had a bull bitch(the only bitch ive had) that was like that and could couldn't cope with the house stinking of piss so got rid

ive never had it with a dog is yours a bitch?

hi mate,,glad yours is ok now,,yes mines a bitch mate,,im just reading up on this problem now what causes it..atb...mark..

Its probably submisive uranation - lots of pups do it,

they do grow out of it, but it can take time,

you have to remember its just a pup, its been took away from everything it knows

its probably not got a bond with you yet and with the sounds of it - no confidance

at all.

If its uranating at night or when your not there to supervise it,

then you could try a crate.

 

Just to add - you might be better cleaning the kitchen with a product designed to

brake down the enzimes in the urine, as quite often if its not cleaned properly

then pups can still smell were they have been before and will just carry on going there.

Keep it in a cage. It is unlikely to wet in its cage if taken outside regulaly to emtpy. The cage can be covered with a blanket to make it feel secure while it gets used to the comings and goings in its new home. Have you had a dog or pup before? Believe me.....a cage can make the house training much less stressful. If it gets used to the cage it could live inside and is then less likely to get stole too........
