whippeter69 88
Just weighed my rifle and it comes in at just a fraction over 10LBS, is this ok or a bit heavy for a nights rabbiting ? But i will be doing a bit of sitting out side the rabbit warrens with the bipod. Quote Link to post
JohnGalway 1,043
My .223 is something around 14lbs I guess. It was 13.5 before I had the moderator added. Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
My .22 semi, a Voere, weighs in at 3.5 kilo's (around 7 3/4 lb) with a full mag. That's a very nice comfy weight to carry around (actually a good few pounds lighter than most of my air rifles. 10 lb's is a fair old lump to carry, make sure you have a decent sling! Deker 3,478
The Finnfire Varmint always was a lump, certainly not the thing if you are averse to weight, but still an excellent rifle, the Finnfire Hunter was lighter! Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Aye, anything with a big heavy varmint barrel is going to weigh a fair bit. Quote Link to post

Hello I have the same rifle, mine has 'slimmed down' because I had the 22" barrel cut down to 16 1/2", good result, still a tack driver with Winchester Sub's. I have owned loads (and I mean loads) of rimfires, the CZd's are the best value, but have 'cack' triggers, the SAKO Finfire Varmint is a country mile in front, even the Anschutz are nowhere near. Don't worry about the weight, like the 'girly' hair stuff, "We they worth it". AndyF Quote Link to post
