Strong Stuff 2,171
Have seen these 9 gallon beer barrells in use on a couple of lads yards in the past as water bowls, they are cut around the middle and the 2 halves used. I've got the beer barrell, now I just need to find how to cut the bloody thing! I haven't tried anything yet, the only tools I have suitable would be either a 4 inch grinder or a hacksaw Has anyone done any of these? Reason for use is as a water bowl in my yard, my dog flips the stainless pet ones over, I can't be arsed making the concrete ones and I doubt he'll lift one of these!!! I've started leaving him out on a chain during the day, something I can only do if I am 100% certain he has plenty of water for the day. Anyone? Thanks.

He was cutting it with a grinder in a garage and the fumes built up, it blew up, killed him and the grinder was stuck in the roof.

Mustard. 83
I felt a bit iffy about cutting one a couple of weeks ago, so i took the valve out and filled it with water and then let it out, before cutting it with the grinder.
