davedavedave 69
Before the internet and great forums like this then game fair shows were the best place to get stuff and they used to be reasonably priced. However I see Weston Park is now £17 so I would rather spend that money buying online and use the day itself to go out shooting/trapping etc. I would rather be doing than watching. BooMster 11
is it that bad? I am going tomorrow with my wife and my parents. We are going for the gundogs and gun stalls? My mom and dad are going for the arts, crafts and to visit the house itself. We both like watching the dog shows and the falconry. we'll still go, but now i am disappointed to hear that, but i will keep it to myself. The gun dogs were showing, and i noticed gun stalls, not sure about falcons though. I don't think its half the show from the last time i went. It seems way to commercial. I have a gun stall locally with cheaper prices and better products. Hope you enjoy the show lol

mark81 0
with regards to cheaper prices, haggling is the way forward on the stalls., i've always done well from that. we're hoping to pick up some good dog bedding and couple of accessories. Plus a new scope for moi. anyone got any recommendations on spotting scopes?

Four of us went yesterday with a long list of items we wanted and pockets full of cash, the only thing we bought was grub, which was very expensive(maybe thats the fault of the organisers for charging too much ground rent per stall). We can buy most of the stuff locally and cheaper, we won't be going again. DD
discobandit 9
We got really lucky with free entry tickets but would have been really p****d off if I'd have had to put my hand in my pocket to get in. £2.50 for a bottle Fanta from a stall next to a Double Glazing company and a Timeshare dealer?????????? Needless to say, not impressed and wont bother again.

mark81 0
very disappointed with what i was going for, a giant rag market!!! the stunt planes were good, i enjoyed the gun dogs, my mom and dad got haggling with some garden furniture and got 750 quid off. NO GUN STALLS!!!!!!! bought a nice bed for the new pup, and a whistle, the wife bought some paintings. Did i mention - NO GUN STALLS. But all in all i did enjoy myself once i got over the fact that a game and country fair had NO GUN STALLS. I bought some camo tape for my rifle. and spent a tenner on shooting bleeding air rifles which i do for the price of pellets at home. entered the crappy little comp, but a hole in the centre of each of the 4 mini targets to be told it only enters you into a prize draw. So a gamefair it isn't!!!!!! But all in all i have enjoyed myself today with the loved ones i went with.

Vosey 24
Went for the weekend to catch up with family, must agree with most here, to many stalls selling stuff at high prices. The kids enjoyed the archery and air guns etc and my mother enjoyed a mouch around the food and craft stalls, best thing for me was the white helmets display, watching the gun dogs and feeding some nice chub off the bridge.
