homemade silencer extension

Recommended Posts

recently got my gunpower stealth back in .20 cal used to be .22 thought smaller cal be more accurate and more deadly and i was right, and believe it or not at 200 bar max fill after 300 to 400 shots still had 120 bar left pretty good i think... but although these guns are quiet i wanted it quieter still so i measured diameter of original silencer of approx 45 mm and found one of the other halfs deoderant cans almost empty but sorted that out laugh.gif it had same inner diameter so i cut off the end and slid it half way down original silencer was good tight fit and added another good 4 + inches of hollow cylinder to the originalthumbs.gif i drilled a 8mm hole in the end same as original hole now whole silencer around nine and half to ten inches in total and with main silencer inside the end of the original acts as a baffle about half way along then another 4 or 5 inches of hollow chamber then a concaved end of can extension with 8mm hole and covered in real tree vinyl cammo tape to match rest of gun so it looked the part......i took it to woods for real test without silencer rang out like a .410 shotgun with silencer deadly quiet infact the biggest noise was the striking hammer against the air bottle valve which is quiet anyway but virtually no muzzle blast what so ever....walked round the woods for a while saw squirrels but far away so sneaked close to tree and waited first 20 mins nothing then beech mast husks started dropping so giving away their position i could,nt get clear shot because of leaves twigs etc but after a while a shot presented itself about 15 to 20 yards up and same in distance aimed half inch low and whack squirrel fell with a thud shot entered just under the eye, in the quiet woods the pellet strike was loud so silencer working perfectly... in the excitement of retrieving the squirrel another that had probably wondered what was going on ran along a branch and sat giving the alarm call so slowly raised the gun once more took aim thud another perfect head shot the sound seems more pronounced with new homemade silencer extension on so 2 mins 2 squirrels i was quite chuffed so walked about a bit more and saw a pigeon land on a branch hidden by leaves so sneaked up and there it was one of this years youngsters fully grown but no white or green neck markings yet took aim and thud another perfect shot down it crashed i never really noticed the sound of pellets striking as much as i do now which says a quick homemade silencer extension makes all the difference...recommend trying for any silencer other than really skinny ones lolthumbs.gif ...........
