Not sure why people should be scared to admit they bred there ferrets .. most of the regulars on here will always advise that anyone intending to breed does there homework but there's certainly nothin

what is the breedind cycle of a ferret???,, i have got a albino jill and wanted put a polecat hob in with it, will they breed like mad or do they only brred at certain times of the year?? thanks for looking and any help would be great

the Jill should come into season around Mar/April time so you should be fine now. just watch for her swelling up around her arse end, once shes been covered by the hob a few times remove him if you want live kits as he will eat them and she will end up back in season. if you don't want kits you could have the hob castrated and you will have no problems at all.

The first question you should be asking is my jill good enough to be bred from if no use another methord to bring her out of season .You will only be able to bred from the jill and hob when there in season (read up on the internet). And its not going to be worth it now as the kits will be late and no able to start working them this season
