borntoshoot 1
Woah f**k me bet u shat yourself a bit when that happened. just shows how important it is to always check your barrels before you load the gun. you were f*****g lucky it went at the muzzel end or you could have been seriously injured. being a side by side i assume its an old gun? looks just like my mates. Baikal?? Quote Link to post
njc110381 0
That was my thought when I saw the picture. You're so lucky that it happened so far away from your hand! What was the cause? Plugged barrel at a guess? Hope you're ok?! Quote Link to post
activeviii 8
judging by the little bit still in tack at the end i would say it was a mud plug as well. Quote Link to post
danw 1,748
I bet is was more likely a stuck wad. 2 years ago I bought 1000 12g rc sipes 32g 6,s out pigeon shooting I reloaded but it sounded strange as the cartridges went in checking there was a 20g rc 32g sipe I have never bought or owned a 20 bore or 20 bore cartridges, RC denied it was their fault but I ain't never bought them again. Baikal?? You can tell from the barrel? Tell what? that its a baikal??? The rib looks exactly the same and the barrels go down ( or did in this case) to a really thin point. Quote Link to post

A 20 bore wont fire in a 12 they fit nicely in the chamber so that you can load a 12 above it then good bye face and hands. As to the barrel at the start of the thread that looks just like the barrel on my bosses gun after a wad from a rotweil cartridge stuck at the start of the choke half way through a partridge drive. Daveo 61
I believe it was a stuck plaswad, that did it, The gun didnt feel right on the shot before, i opened it blow the smoke out and could see daylight I thought through the smoke....... as it was fairly dusk it could have been a wad. No injuries were sustained apart from to my boxers when i saw what had happened. Quote Link to post
Daveo 61
Its not a Baikal, if it was this would'nt have happened. Its an old Big Notti, but apart from some bruisers it was fine... or so i thought. Quote Link to post
