Why not just tie two pieces of cord around your wrist. Slip the cords through your dogs collars and hold the other ends in your hand. You can let go of both pieces of cord at once or separately. Cheap and simple.

I just use rope or cord, Ive lost so many slip leads that Ive bought I gave up buying them

Iv seen them at a few game fairs I bought a single 1 of the sane type of leather and it's very handy. The double 1s we're about £20/£25

quick release arrived today, seems ok, maybe not the strongest but should be good, ill let you know how i get on with it when i take him out, only thin that puts me off its a little noisey with all the metal bits.
