Tilly1 11 Posted September 1, 2010 Report Share Posted September 1, 2010 hi all, i have recently got my FAC through the post and looking for a gun, but first need to know [bANNED TEXT] flb to buy. is there a guide to the power and distance? for example a 12lb air rifle has a shooting/killing distance of around 30 to 40 feet. so wots does a 17lb, 20lb, 25lb shoot at???????????? im looking at rifles of around the 22lb mark, wots the killing/shooting distance on one of these? cheers guys ATB Quote Link to post

Maybe say the rabbits need shooting as there is no other way of controlling them on the said land, and that the rabbits are very shy, so a rifle would be best suited to control the numbers. I'd go for a Rapid 7, I have one on ticket at stupid ft-lbs near enough a rimfire. Very good rifles, very silent (I use a Logun silencer), and very accurate, but need to bring the tank with me though and a spare buddy bottle. Go for a rimmy, less hassle. 1 Quote Link to post

Go for a rimmy, less hassle. hi, HW 100 in 177 for a change , i went in the farm building where there is no wind and set the rangers up ang grouped it in, it groups perfect with feild target trophys but i thought they were a bit light as i mostly shoot rabbits, so i am useing barracuda match they group nearly as good as the F.T.T, the best shot i have done tonight (dusk) is 67 yards, i am shocked as i would not think a legal 177 would shoot and kill a rabbit at this range, i have killed plenty at 50 yards but never 67 yards, resting on a dry stone wall and no wind, the wife was there with me and was as surprised as me. Does anybody no if i could kill one at the same distance useing field target trophys, just with them grouping realy tight, The rabbit i shot tonight was behind the eye every-thing i shoot is a head shot, Just had to share this with you,s as i am so happy and shocked, who needs f,a,c,.builder.
