Its not about giving animals rights, its about treating them in a decent manner . . . . . No one is getting all bunny hugger here and stating that they disagree with culling pups . . . . BUT as has been pointed out to you by several people, there are many more humane ways of destroying puppies, those methods also do not include the amount of enjoyment achieved by the girl in the video. If you feel that that is unrealistic opinion then i would seriously question your membership on a forum trying to promote the responsible ownership of keeping working dogs. To suggest it shouldn't be illegal to treat an animal in such a manor, tells me that your either out for an argument or you have zero respect for your own animals or your sport

i couldnt watch all of that video and found the little i did disgusting,but at the end of the day those pup's were just property,we should have the right to do with our property as we like.

i should be able to buy a bugatti veyron and smash it up with a hammer if i choose to,my property my choice,a bad choice but shouldn't be an illegal one.

No you cant legislate morals BUT you can legislate for cruelty. I have not watched the video either but can state that anyone who enjoys inflicting suffering has no place around any animals at all.

 

I don't disagree with culling a litter should the need arise, however, i would expect a level of respect for the creatures concerned which would entail them being dispatched quickly and with minimal suffering. Before you think i am an animals rights infiltraitor i would confirm that i shoot live game and even in this field if i have to dispatch a wounded bird i get pi**sed off at myself for not delivering a clean kill. Most SPORTSMEN, no matter if its terriermen, long doggers ect feel the same and have a respect for their quarry which precludes unneccessary suffering.

 

There is a recognised correlation between people who inflict cruelty on animals at an early age who then go onto further acts usually on people. Jeffrey Dammer is a case in point.

 

We have a right to own animals but along with rights come responsibilities.

 

If you fail to grasp this concept then you have no place in the FIELD.
