lat 29
good qustion mate. My bitch is bred from a three quarter Grey x colli x halfbull terrier x half gryhound. She is a strong bitch. In the pic she was only 18 month she is 4 now. She was not brilliant on long ears, preety decent on rabbits and good on foxes. She has decent speed but a good brain. I would say the cross has worked out well . Quote Link to post

alan626 305
At one time i did think this would be a good x , but not so sure now .Having had both bull and collie xs, and if you drop on good dogs of those xs, Get the right colliex and they are one of the best rabbit dogs you will ever get.Same with the bullx, get a good'un and pre ban the best fox dog you will ever get. But when x to both breeds, you could end up with crap rabbit dog, or a crap fox dog .It might work out, but as both xs are top of there game on the above quarry, why take the risk.? I know some will say a bxg x cxg is a good x maybe, but a line bed bullx or a line bred colliex, i think make a better choise shut up talking shit Quote Link to post

BULL 96
At one time i did think this would be a good x , but not so sure now .Having had both bull and collie xs, and if you drop on good dogs of those xs, Get the right colliex and they are one of the best rabbit dogs you will ever get.Same with the bullx, get a good'un and pre ban the best fox dog you will ever get. I know some will say a bxg x cxg is a good x maybe, but a line bed bullx or a line bred colliex, i think make a better choise shut up talking shit yes but the thinking was just a bit of collie into the mix for brain, stamina etc as we no the bullx is a hard dog in genral and the collie x intelligent is a great rabbitter but is not just for rabbits as some make good fox dogs what were people using before the bullx ! as i stated before i dont want a cock swinging compition between bullx and collie x boys or im not intrested in opinions of those who have had either of the crosses seperatly, just people who work or own a bullxgrey with collie in the mix somewhere im thinking further down the line for my bullx which is 4th generation and very closly bred so im looking for an out x and would like a dash of collie for the above reasons . its just research on my part but some of these dogs are great looking animals and i would be intrested in seeing them work.and hearing more about them i think they could potentialy be a very good allrounder . morton 5,368
Had this type of dog, she made an excellent allrounder, suprisingly good on daytime hares, mustard on venison, outstanding lamper. Her major fault was she was only any good as a 2nd dog on fox. Very reluctantly let her go, would recommend the right bred dog of this type. Quote Link to post
jenksi87 3
if that was her only fault then why let her go? Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
if that was her only fault then why let her go? Still regret letting her go, but was breeding a litter out of my bitch. She,s single handed and a better dog.Kept 2 pups back. Quote Link to post
