very intrested in learning more about bullx s with a dash of collie in them how they work in relation to a stright bull x ,dont want to stir up collie x boys against bull x boys ,not intrested in listening to that crap .this is a genuine post i want to know if the extra intelligence takes a great deal away from the courage of the bull x or makes them more efficient in killing/catching

only intrested in peoples views with actuall experience of seeing these dogs work not people who think how they would work

ive got a 12 month old collie bull grey doing well so far,had a few bunnies and retrived a fox with another dog to start him and showed good signs ,think this is a good x and think he should make a decent dog in time

so this dog is half collie 1/4 bull 1/4grey is that correct ? as i would have expected him to look quite cobby as he very racey looking .good to seee hes coming on well .

i run a bull hound bitch i mated her to a 3quater grey quater collie pups are now 10weeks old so ask this question late next year and ill tell u all about them

be intrested to see how they turn out look wise and work wise .as that dilutes the bull blood down quite dramatically from the bull/hound you run to half that ,ill follow how they turn out alan

no his is 3/4 grey 1/8 collie 1/8 bull but as we no percentages dont mean much?as long as he does the job

i will be intrested to see peoples opinions on this cross. i have a 5/8 bull 3/8 grey that i am running now. and i have not long got a pup he is bull collie grey x whippet grey.

have owned a few and recently bread a litter also have trained a both firstcross bull and collie but the top and bottom of it is i have seen all of them do the same job. the way i would put it is it depends on how your wantind to train him and his role in life. if your wanting to brind it up with a firm hand then i would often reccomend a straight bull cross but with total praise then i would reccomend to put collie in the mix. now there is another factor to think about hae you got kids because many bull crosses are verry boisterus and so can be collie bull greys but they are all unique in pearsonality and people may dissagree with me this is just my oppinion from my experience thanks stewie

At one time i did think this would be a good x , but not so sure now .Having had both bull and collie xs, and if you drop on good dogs of those xs, Get the right colliex and they are one of the best rabbit dogs you will ever get.Same with the bullx, get a good'un and pre ban the best fox dog you will ever get. But when x to both breeds, you could end up with crap rabbit dog, or a crap fox dog .It might work out, but as both xs are top of there game on the above quarry, why take the risk.? I know some will say a bxg x cxg is a good x maybe, but a line bed bullx or a line bred colliex, i think make a better choise

really like the look of that dog mate ,hes a credit to you looks in very good condition too.what sort of hight tts is he and whats his weight have you tried him on various quarry retriving etc ,pm if you want

can you compare him to a stright bullx his strengths and weaknesses etc.

Agree to an extent with what your saying bird. But surely this issue would be reduced with a good/experienced dog man behind the breeding, knowing what type of bullx to put to what type of colliex to get the desired attributes in the pups. Also, surely a line bred lurcher that has both collie and bull blood would reduce the issues you mention as with line breeding bull crosses or collie crosses. I think the bullx colliex mix has potential because of the fact they are two specialists (as with the salukix bullx mix), but as you say has the potential to go the other way to.

Hes 25 1/2" tts hes just over 31 kg. That pic was took about 6 weeks ago i think there is a date on the pic erm been getting him in proper shape since then a good hour on bike when i come home from work 3 times a week then walk him up me brothers on saturdays. He used to retrive rabbit back but he just brings them so far back or some times he will bring them back he been on reds cant compare him to a straight bull as ive not had one had a 3/4 bull witch me dad sold with out asking. A member on here as him he was an excellent dog aslo collie in him.
