Was in my hide the other day when a big cock pheasnt wandered past,I was looking at it through my scope but didn't shoot, didnt think I was allowed and I didn't want to push my luck on new land. Then was at Raby castle game fair few days later where I tried pheasant tempura and it was bloody nice, but hey ho. Now then, I dont take that many Pheasants, I only take what I want to eat for myself, there are three small syndicates on my permissions, they dont mind me taking the odd few as I whack the rabbits on their land, which just happens to be why they have permission to shoot on there, so I sort the rabbits for them, and in return I get to have pheasant if I fancy one, its a bit of back scratching, but I also have land that I'm not allowed to touch pheasants on, as these are put out for paying guns to whack Quote Link to post
