Tiff 36
there are lots of threads on lurcher fitness, do a search and you'll find them. I don't think I'd run a dog 18 times in one night if it only caught one ... why was it missing so many? bad slips, giving up, bad running area?
romany52 313
Didn't do well at all, caught 1, missed 17, it did shit and so did you. Missing 17 out of 18 will have worked wonders for its confidence ! I just hope it missed the first 17 and caught the last one. Get your head out your arse and think about what your doing. suffolkpoacher 219
how old is the dogs and what x ,18 slips is a bit much but with 15 foot slips catching one is not a good sign
romany52 313
Swanny mate, didn't mean to sound so snotty this morning but missing all them rabbits first time out is not good. Spend a month getting some fitness , then go out on a good night and look for some easy slips, if she kills a couple early on, call it a night , don't over do it. You want her to come home feeling confident and wanting more, then build up slowly. A month of fitness training might help her forget she can't fecking catch 'em.
