BenBhoy 4,706 Posted August 31, 2010 Report Share Posted August 31, 2010 hi guys. got given a really old hammer gun after someone died. filling in transfer form, cant find any manufacturer name on it, but loadsa numbers stamped in barrel, all over the underside of it, how do i tell which is the serial number? is it usually a 5 digit figure? this is fairly urgent, as i need to have it signed off tomorrow, so any help tonight really really appreciated, thanks. I would call the firearms licensing department and explain the situation and ask them what number they have for the gun, again they may not. If there is a number, it will be on the action.
