Smoking Toes 4
Took my new gun out today to give the decoying an attempt and I was quite surprised how effective it could be. Birds coming in quite well to the decoys. Pic of end bag, 18 ferral, 2 wood pigeon, and 3 rook. 3 Quote Link to post

What the Gun or the Decoying? Don't be surprised by the guns ability!! I was suprised at the ratio of Ferrals to Woodies though. Having said that I've never actually considdered that Deeking will draw the ferrals Very nice result SPA Phantom Quote Link to post
kingoftoosh 15
Thats a nice few birds there mate, how long were you out for?and what were you doing with the birds when shot, were you leaving them how they fell or were you using them as decoys too? I'd be well happy with a session like that Regards KOT Quote Link to post
Smoking Toes 4
It was one of the pig farms that I work on where I went today on my own. I was there about approximately four hours, I had two woodies in the freezer from ages ago that i used as decoys to draw the first ones in. Once one was shot if nothing else came in for five to ten minutes i popped out the hide and arranged it better with the other two decoys. I kept doing this until I eventually called it a day. The three rooks was shot attacking twitching pigeons that had been shot. The two wood pigeons were shot at long range for me as I could not get none to come down into the middle of the decoys like the ferrals were. atb Luke Quote Link to post
