Recommended Posts

micro ferrets wont last to long out ferreting they will get kicked to death

Just out of interest have you been out with any?

yes i have been out with some and dont rate them far to small cant take a kicking and cant last the day but you should no that you seem to no everything else :feck:

I don't know much about Micros as i have never had one, hence why i asked, as you seem to have an absolute opinion on their uselessness and certainty of meeting death out ferreting. So relax.

will i have seen them work so your intrest has been answered :bye:

Thankyou. I've still never seen one in the flesh, i'd quite like a day out with some just to see.

Not sure what is classed as a micro ferret.

I bred some ferrets two years ago. They were all under average size.

They have turned out to be excellent workers - the shovel is going rusty.

They seem to bolt the rabbits that want to move and after a short wait, come off the ones that dont want to move.

I am that immpressed with them that i dont collar them up.They just slip through the net and into the next hole.

If i need to dig the rabbit such as shallow burys i enter a more robust ferret with the collar on.

The only issue iwould have with them is there stamina -You would probebley need a few of them on long days and larger warrens.

For small to average sets they are ideal. If the rabbits want to bolt they have got every chance of doing so and you can soon have a fair few rabbits in the bag

To be honest i did not believe in this rubbish. BUT i bought 3 kits few months back and they are tiny I mean about the size of russian hamsters, the breeder said that he was breeding them for his own use, and was using really small hob and jills. I have had them now with 2 other kits that are the same age but different litter, and they are half the size. they are about the length of a sky remote!
