fitchet 788 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Share Posted August 30, 2010 one of the main unwritten rules of ferreting is that you should never enter a ferret after 3PM never heard of that by 3 us lot are still working the burrows i was told this unwriten rule as a child in winter its 3 not this time of year as most don't ferret this early im not ferreting early either mate most of thetime were working when it gets dark Quote Link to post

proper22 5 Posted August 30, 2010 Author Report Share Posted August 30, 2010 Went yesterday evening in the end for a quick session foungd a small set in a hedge must have started in the semi dark lol 8.30 ish wouldnt reccomend it rabbits still bolted but seeing were the ferret was when i came out the holes was a nighmare even with a torch however still got 3 rabbits and quited whilts we were ahead just got the fealing that the next time i put the ferret down it would be too dark to see were she came out especcialy as she didnt have a locater or anything on risky and not as enjoyable but still had a right good time Quote Link to post
