Lost Generation 93
Barrel weight isn't just about need. Some people, myself included shoot much better with a heavy barrelled rifle. In my case this applies from air rifles upwards, lightweight rifles just don't suit me. Quote Link to post
JonathanKent 16
I find it much easier to shoot a heavy barreled rifle well of a bipod or rest. But if i need to take a 'freehand' shot ie one without any rest then a heavy gun is much harder to keep on the mark. ATB Jonno Quote Link to post
dirtymudflap 0
i have just brought my first .17 it is a cz 452 american varmint barrel and i can say it is an amazing rifle for the money trigger was a bit heavy out of the box so i adjusted it and it feels alot better. i have ordered a rimfire magic kit to lighten it a bit more and limit the amount of creep.i find it easier to shoot a heavier barrel just personal choice i suppose the standard 452 felt very light to me.
