Guest tillytop2510
if it has burnt its self is it a case of re wiring it all? ive noticed the wires inside the handle seem alot thinners than the stretchy part????????? Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
A dry joint is where the solder has lifted due to the power put threw the wireing, use a tester to see if you have a dry joint. Quote Link to post

Tiny 7 1,694
got a blitz 240 just stopped working bulb is fine tested it, the switch seems to be sealed but i think maybe a loose wire behind the bulb, do i have to drill the rivet and check then re- rivet it?????? any info really appreciated, thanks Its easy to do i just used a hammer and punch and just split the rivet or what ever you call it, Becareful tho as there are two red wires straight inside where your planning on drilling, As soon as you knock the rivet out its easy from there check all the wires fix what you have to job i use a match in where the rivet goes for future ref,# Ps while its all a part its a good time to put a dimmer in if its a standered lamp.... Couple of quid out of maplins join two wires sorted... Edited August 29, 2010 by tiny 7 Quote Link to post
Guest tillytop2510
what you just put a match in to hold the light unit in? do you just put the dimmer on the main line? also if your re wiring it all do you get a new trigger switch as the one thats in it is sealed unit and you would be joining to the old wires?
