sorry mate im not that electrically minded lol.

is the best way just to re wire the lot, but i guess i need to buy a new switch as they are sealed units and ill have to drill rivet to get to back of bulb?????????

what sort of wire would i use to rewire and then i guess i shouldnt have problems again?

Its easy to do i just used a hammer and punch and just split the rivet or what ever you call it, Becareful tho as there are two red wires straight inside where your planning on drilling,

As soon as you knock the rivet out its easy from there check all the wires fix what you have to job i use a match in where the rivet goes for future ref,#

Ps while its all a part its a good time to put a dimmer in if its a standered lamp.... Couple of quid out of maplins join two wires sorted...

what you just put a match in to hold the light unit in?

do you just put the dimmer on the main line?

also if your re wiring it all do you get a new trigger switch as the one thats in it is sealed unit and you would be joining to the old wires?
