aaronpigeonplucker 32
Rabbits dont play by the rules FACT , if you shoot a good number of bunnies you will find that out, ive hit them through the eye under the eye above the eye behind the eye and you still get the odd stubborn one that wont give up the ghost, shooting targets will get you zeroed in to your chosen distance but wild stuff is a different ball game, targets sit still live quarry does not,any honest hunting folk will tell you they miss or wound nearly as many as they kill, they will also say they can get 1/2in grouping's at 35yrd,s on a static target, my advice to you is change to .177 and you wont go back to sub 12ftlb .22 again. if your shooting moving targets with an airgun you shouldent be aloud to own one. you only ever take shots on live quarry when there sitting still and not moving around to much. if you want to shoot running rabbits get a shotgun. if your quarry is feeding then make it alert with a squeak. if it sits still take the shot, if it runs off then its better than it running off wounded. simples. if your wounding nearly as many as you shoot then that aint good. my wound rate is about 1 in 13 shots and slowly but suely it is decreasing as i get better and wind and range estimation. and when i wound i can usually get over to it and dispatch it quickly. you really need to start reviewing your accuracy or stop shooting. THROUGH THE EYE AND UNDER THE EYE IS NOT A CLEAN KILL! THE ONLY CLEAN KILL IS A BRAIN SHOT! Edited September 6, 2010 by aaronpigeonplucker Quote Link to post

aaronpigeonplucker 32
i stand corrected mal, but a head is a far clearer target as you can see it, you cant see the heart of a rabbit and have to be fairly experienced to know where to aim to hit it. Quote Link to post
