lamp filters

ok guys how many of you with lamps use a filter other than red/amber ???,, and what sort of luck you having with your chosen colour

i use a red and amber on my GL4 but find amber is to bright without a dimmer

Sorry mate i only really use red on my Deben Tracer Max with dimmer.

 

Ive tried amber amber and it was crap and ive tried green and that was also crap.

Try blue or green, sometimes they work well when a place has been hammered by red filters, green I've done well with at times, but the blue spooks them a little bit, one shot on the blue and they're gone

Yeh I use red but have used Amber but is a little bright green is a bit hard on the eyes and blue spools them like crazy

green and blue are usefull if its misty or foggy but only better for our benefit i just stick to red
