foxdigger13 114
i used to only have to ferrets and i did some big old warrens with them so its not all about quantity, Quote Link to post
Born Hunter 17,763
Dont need many ferrets to have an enjoyable days ferreting, not everyone is out to kill thousands. Only last season a lad put up a post, 30 rabbits with one hob! Although it is very nice being able to do those massive warrens that can take all morning and result in a very gud bag and they only really happen with a sack full of stinkers Quote Link to post

theferreter 311
doesent matter if you work 1 or 10 ferrets just as long as your happy with your team thats the main thing atb for the season 1 Quote Link to post
whin 463
i like to have at least 2 good workers and when i was at it full time seven good ferrets worked four in morning 3 later on average day back in the early ninties 50 to 60 rabbs odd day more ,three times a week in between lamping the dogs box trapping and odd nite long nettin average week was 200 to 350 and odd week 40 plus for 3 to 4 seasons then goverment gave the farmers grants for rabitin netting etc they soon cut the numbers down, all the best getting thta time of year to clean the nets up dogs ready and tallyho Quote Link to post
CarraghsGem 92
i picked up 2 new recruits the other day, 1 is a VERY handsome big (but not too big) sandy hob, the other is a scrawny little albino, both have nice temperaments + bolted 5 rabbits, 3 into the nets 1 to the dog + 1 came out of a hole id missed + got away. had the choice of quite a few albinos but picked this one at random because my first choice was a little too nippy + impatient with being handled. this one will do me fine though. Jamie m 668
Rabbit neting soon wears and there stiill there gradually diging away nothing beets the ferret for clearing out Quote Link to post

It was a nice few pics of a few of my ferrets thats all, cant believe that it could cause a row, especially from a kid..... It sounded better than "a picture of 2 out of my 4 ferrets".......is that ok pal.. Quote Link to post
